Dr. Perez furthered his education by completing externships focused on the anterior segment of the eye which includes cataracts, shingles, dry eye, keratoconus, LASIK and other refractive surgeries and their complications. He gained a passion for dry eye and remains current on the latest research and treatment modalities as it is so prevalent in dryer climates such as Utah.
There is a great need for medical eye care in non-traditional settings. Dr. Perez observed a need for better access for patients who are not able to attend a normal clinical setting. He has invested in the most advanced technology allowing for mobile eye exams. He is now able to travel to care centers, homes, and rural areas providing the most accurate and convenient eye exam possible.
Research has become a passion for Dr. Perez and has given many of his patients the opportunity to benefit from the most current therapies for various ocular pathologies. This is fundamental to his practice and gives the community access to treatments not yet offered on the market.
